   Very striking images Scott. These photos remind me so much of my own homeland here in British Columbia, Canada. The incredibly rugged terrain of the multitude of mountain ranges made for great challenges in road and highway construction in earlier times.

   Weather and slides make for treacherous passage and closures for days on end.

   Interesting that even in their stark appearance through these photos there is beauty.
